I received the Nine Lives audiobook short story from the narrator in exchange for a review, and I really liked it. This is gonna be a really short review cause the books was only 1:17 mins, and I really wish there were more of it.

My favorite things:

The setting – New Orleans, we didn’t get to see very much of it cause it was so short, but the atmosphere was there, and the hodoo

The cat – the main character is a cat. Well she’s a woman who’s been hexxed into a cat. But she’s a cute black cat, and she loves fish and washing her paws like a cat. And ruining other people’s plans, and chin scritches.

The story was quick, Trixie interferes with one of her neighbour’s plots. There’s a hint of romance, some humor and the stakes end up higher than it would seem at the start. The ending also suggest there’d be more stories in the series, but they don’t seem to be out.

The narration was good, easy to tell the characters apart and a really pleasant voice to listen to.

Oh, and instead of chapter, it’s “Meow 1” , “Meow 2” etc, so cute
