Books with numbers in the title seems like a very familiar theme, I think that’s cause we recently did colors.
- The First Sister by Linden A. Lewis
- The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
- Three Parts Dead by Max Gladstone
- The Four Profound Weaves by R.B. Lemberg
- The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
- The 71/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Tuton
- Eight Skilled Gentlemen by Barry Hughart
- The Ninth Rain by Jen Williams
- How to Defeat a Demon King in Ten Easy Steps by Andrew Rowe
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in.
The Two Towers was on my list as well.

I keep meaning to get to The 7-1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle! I should get on that.
My list is here— https://fiftytwo.blog/2021/09/14/ttt-ten-books-with-numbers-in-the-title/
Happy TTT!
I don’t know how I could have kept The Fifth Season off of my list. Well, at least I included another Jemisin novel. Great list!
I’m surprised I haven’t seen The Two Towers on more lists today than I have (it was on mine too). 7 1/2 Deaths, on the other hand, is everywhere. It was on my list when the titles with numbers theme was done by TTT 2 years ago (and that might be why the topic seems familiar).
My TTT
I’ve got Evelyn Hardcastle on my list too, buy why does she have 7 deaths in some additions and 7 1/2 in others? My TTT post is here: https://wp.me/pbWIBM-ka
Ooh Six of Crows and Two Towers (that one what a wild cover!)
We only share one book on ours lists, which means there really are a lot of number titles out there. Great list!
Ah that explains it! I must’ve seen it around!
Oh I know that! It’s because in one market they wanted to avoid confusion with The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo! I still mix them up all the time though
I really need to the The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms too, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read of Jemisin’s so far
This was probably the easiest TTT to come up with in a while, so many options! Unlike “titles that are questions” which seem very unpopular in SFF
Love the Chronological order here! I should read more SFF….
