Book characters I’d Follow On Social Media sounded easy, but this is turning out to be a tough one. Mostly because my age is showing, and I’m not really familiar with the cool new social media. I decided it might help my indecision to try and figure out one character/social media platform.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in.
Instagram: Imogen from the Spells and Caramels series by Erin Johnson
I haven’t really gotten the hang of Instagram, but I know it involves pretty pictures of food. So I could only follow Imogen, renowned and magical royal baker, I bet her cupcakes look amazing. My review of the first two books
Youtube: The Glamorai from Mid-Lich Crisis by Steve Thomas
They’re hopping-vampire-fighting rock band that put on wild shows for the crowds that end in some good vampire butt kicking. Especially their shows with Darruk Darkbringer’s visual effect should be stunning. My review
Twitter: Everyone from The Last Sun by KD Edwards
This is cheating maybe, but I already follow Incorrect Tarot and it’s a joy, plus with its modern day tech savy cast, I know just know these people would be tweeting silliness. My review of The Last Sun, and The Hanged Man (the one where I did a little dance)
Linkedin: Cassandra from We Ride the Storm by Devin Madson
Linkedin is for following professional, competent people to learn some industry news and tricks, maybe, I don’t actually use it so I’m not sure. Cassandra is a whoresassin who’s super good and blending together two very lucrative professions. My review of the original self-published version
Pinterest: Lucy from The Vampire Knitting Club by Nancy Warren
Circling back to cosy mystery for Pinterst. The knitting designs described in this series sound amazing, I can’t even knit but I’d still love to see them. My review of the first book in the series
WordPress: Miss Elizabeth Knight from A Magical Inheritance by Krista D Ball
Another no-brainer, Elizabeth spends most of her time in book one inventorying her massive collection of magic books, which is too big to fit in her house, ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US! My review
Now this is where I start showing my age
Facebook: Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling
Facebook is where I follow old friends from highschool, so I thought back to what I’d read back then, and there’s no contest, I read the HP books continuously and repeatedly. I figure I’d follow Luna because she’s bound to have interesting and quirky posts.
Snapchat: Monty from The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
Hello fellow kids! I’ve never used Snapchat, but I imagine it’s the sort of platform young man on a hedonistic tour across Europe might make good use of, and I’m sure his shenanigans would be fun to see. My review
Tik Tok: Sophronia from the Finishing School series by Gail Carriager
Tik-Tok! Who’s there?
I don’t … I’m really too old for this one. Sophronia’s young enough to be up to speed, and crafty enough to invent a camera to film her videos with, at this Steampunk school of Etiquette & Espionage.
Pfew that was harder than I thought it would be when I started out. What do you think? Who’s fun to follow?
I’d follow Luna in a heartbeat. Great list.
My TTT .
Thanks! Luna was the first one I figured out actually, I just didn’t want to put facebook at the top
Wow love the way you did this post! I’d never think of choosing characters according to the different social media apps. Great job.

I figured it would be easier than just thinking of 10 ones for the social media I actually use. I was wrong. I also forgot reddit counts, which is shameful since I spend hours there daily.
Sophronia seems like a great person to follow.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Oh she would be so much fun, she’d really get into it and come up with all sorts of crazy ideas too
