Top Ten Tuesday: Fantasy books with animals

1:02 pm | | Comments 5

This week’s topic is on animals from books (these could be mythical, real, main characters, sidekicks, companions/pets, shifters, etc.) I am so on this. I’m sticking to animals that are magical, or technological and some of them are sentient, more magical creatures than animals. Here are my top ten fantasy books with animals and creatures:

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in.

  • Hank from Fuzzy Nation by John Scalzi – Alright, he’s just a regular dog, but he’s cute and friendly and trained to set off explosives. And there are other cat-like creatures that are also cute.

  • The Aeslin Mice from InCryptid by Seanan McGuire – A race of very religious mice that live with the MC’s family and are too cute.

  • The monsters from The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco – At a certain point in the book we see a necromancer and her resurrected bone monsters who like pets. It cute.
