- The Midnight Bargain by C.L. Polk, review, goodreads – burn the patriarchy with regency-ish romance
- Soulstar by C.L. Polk, review, goodreads – epic conclusion to a great series
- The Unbroken by C.L. Clark, review, goodreads – anti-colonialism and sexy lesbian arms
- Beowulf: A New Translation by Maria Dahvana Headley, review, goodreads – Bro, I loved this translation
- A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher, review, goodreads – bread but make it combat
- Root Magic by Eden Royce, review, goodreads – middle grade set in the sixties with plenty of creepiness

It’s been a while since I read Beowulf, I like the Hrolf Kraki Saga by Poul Andersen better.
Sexy lesbian arms, I love it. I can’t wait to pick up The Unbroken. It’s sitting on my shelf whispering my name right now.
The Royce book looks really good!
It is so good, this year seems to be all about sapphics taking down empires and I’m here for it.
