Top Ten Tuesday: Books I wish I could read again for the first time

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in.

Witchmark (The Kingston Cycle #1) by C.L. Polk

The ending of this book was so strong and exciting, I'd love to read it for the first time, I suspect it works out differntly on a reread picking up more hints.

Discworld by Terry Pratchett

I am slowly rereading this and enjoying that, but it's been one of the series closest to my heart for a good few years now and I'd gladly read it all again.

The Last Sun (The Tarot Sequence #1) by K.D. Edwards

This book is amazing, a wild plot and excellent characters that I'd love to fall in love with for the first time again.

Ring Shout by P. Djèlí Clark

Horror is very much outside my usual genre, but I loved this one so much I'd be happy to go through the scares and yucky monsters again.

Dread Nation (Dread Nation #1) by Justina Ireland

This series was so gripping, I never knew I needed Civil War teens fighting zombies but gosh I wish it were longer than just a duology.

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke

I just read it, and I already crave more of that sense of mystery and wonder.

The Demons We See(The Dark Abyss of Our Sins #1)by Krista D. Ball

I might actually just go ahead and reread this soon, before book 3 comes out, since I find Ball's writing style so easy to read and engaging.

The Curse of Chalion (World of the Five Gods (Publication) #1) by Lois McMaster Bujold

You know that feeling when a book is an instant favorite? I'd like to recapture that feeling.

The Imaginary Corpse by Tyler Hayes

Such a soft kind hearted book. So many feels, good feels, but also bad feels and people working through them.

The Djinn Falls in Love & Other Stories by Mahvesh Murad, Jared Shurin

This is one of my favorite collections of short stories, and it made me fall in love with djinn, but I neve really find myself rereading short stories.

  3. I haven’t read any of these, but I’ve heard great things about Dread Nation!

    Discworld was so good.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

I haven’t read any of the books on your list, but I’m sure my husband would love it if I read Discworld for the first time.

When you get the chance, I hope you stop over at my blog and take a read: https://readbakecreate.com/10-books-i-would-love-to-see-as-a-movie/

Some of these I’m familiar with, having seen them around, but haven’t read- Discworld seems like a series I really should try. I see so much love for it and the humor sounds great. 🙂

Glad to see you’re back! And with such a great list too. Chalion is the series closest to my heart, I read it often, although of course that awe from the first time is slightly lesser now.
