I’m linking up with The Monthly Wrap-Up Round-Up, hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight.
Goings-On
In May I participated in two events and a lot of book clubs.
Wyrd and Wonder a month long celebration of fantasy literature: Check out Imyril’s intro post for all the details. The event is hosted by Imyril of One More, Lisa of Dear Geek Place and Jorie Loves a Story, and you can follow Wyrd and Wonder on Twitter

Asian Readathon is a month-long readathon in May to celebrate Asian characters & authors. Hosted by @readwithcindy, this event is a month-long readathon dedicated to reading books featuring Asian protagonists and/or written by Asian authors. This is an online event that is meant to be as easy and accessible for everyone.
For the Asian Readathon I read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo which had consequences. I’ve always been messy my entire life, and I’ve always been told I’m messy and never imagined myself as being able to be tidy. But this book really worked on me. I spent the month konmaring almost all my stuff (I still have a few things to get to) and I’ve been tidy. I’ve never before in my life known where everything belongs, and now I’m actually putting everything away after I use it. It’s strange and wonderful and I love it. But also tiring, so that sort of took over a lot of the other plans I’d had for the month.
I also finished the 30 day morning yoga challenge I was doing (that took me two and half months instead of 1, but it’s something) and I started this routine from Hybrid Calisthenics. I like that it seems to scale well, but even the easiest excercises are pretty hard for me at this point.

Impressively busy month!
Which Yoga challenge did you do btw?
I really wish I had had a chance to do Wyrd & Wonder. I’m curious about Le Gun, I’ve only read one of her books.
Great job on reaching so many accomplishments in May! Just this morning I started working on a list of things I need to organize (mostly on my computer and blog). It’s always nice to declutter. 🙂
Happy reading in June!
I can totally relate to the Marie Kondo thing. I definitely did a ton of organizing after I read that book, and it changed my house for the positive!
I want to read Sarah Pinsker. I saw her name on several award shortlists, I think. Wyrd and Wonder was a wonderful challenge, good to interact with you and other awesome bloggers! 🙂
I’ve got to quit signing up for so many blog tours so that maybe I can get more of the monthly book theme challenges started! Looks like you got some good books in May read though. Hope June is going well for you.
Lisa Loves Literature
Now that donations are being accepted again around here, I’m motivated to also declutter and decrease my possessions. I read a book this past month titled Love People, Use Things (ARC 7/13/21) and it has changed my thinking about the value of things and thinking before I bring another object into the house. I read Luck of the Titanic and Tokyo Ever After as part of the Asian reading challenge (both are really good and really different).
