Goings-On
November was once again, not the best for blogging. I did end up reading a good amount though, and giving some love to my other hobbies.
Up until the 17th I frantically trying to finish my Hugo reads and get my votes in, and that organized chaos kinda tired me out.
In sewing, I’ve been working on a petticoat (that’s been on pause for 2 weeks since I managed to slightly dislocate my hip by sitting crosslegged for too long):
Oh and I’m really happy with how painting my own nails is going, I’m using acrylic paints and semi-permanent not-gels, and doing patterns that can grow out for a couple of weeks without it being super obvious:
I’ve been playing lots of Terraria with my bf, and also some Mario Marty and Mario’s 3D world, our Terraria house looks really cute, but we’re moving out of it to a new world soon. I’ve played some Gris and Far Lone Sail, which I go on the Steam sale and are lovely, but I haven’t finished them yet.
And we took a little weekend trip, to a nearby medieval castle and old Dacian ruins, also stumbled upon a great miniature train musem.
Castelul Corvinilor:

Sarmizegetusa Regia:
I’ve also been watching a lot of TV, loved Arcane, enjoying Wheel of Time and making my way through the Netflix Christmas Universe, I’ve seen the 3 Princess Switch Movies, A Castle for Christmas and currently on A Prince for Christmas.

That’s a good reading month (also was it here I got the Day Al-Mohamed idea? Did you blog about that book before now?)
I’m not sure I mentioned it on the blog, but you might have seen my mod club posts about it on r/fantasy, it was our pick last month and we had an AMA with the author after that.
Your trips look nice. And Terraria- I think I’ve seen that one on Steam…
Love After the End looks great- love that cover.
Goodness, you have been busy! Hugo reads, trips to castles, sewing, fingernails…wow!
The castle is amazing. I have always wanted to visit a real castle.
One of these days I’m going to get back to reading more sci fi/fantasy titles.
That’s why I like doing these monthly round-ups, I always feel like I’ve been sitting around not doing much, but in retrospect I’ve actually been pretty active
I love the photos your shared of your trip, especially the castle. I admire your sewing skills–I don’t even know how to operate a sewing machine–and your nail art is so creative (I like that idea of designs that last longer). Happy holidays!
